World Cup & Goth plus European Music Festivals '06
Vibrant Leipzig defies dour image
By Laura Smith-Spark BBC News
Some 20,000 Goths will gather in Leipzig ahead of the World Cup.
Instead of the beer and bratwurst they may be expecting, the streets will be awash with mead, medieval markets, music - and extravagantly dressed Goths.
For Leipzig, the only city in the former East Germany chosen to host World Cup matches, is also home to the self-proclaimed world's biggest Goth festival.
Some 20,000 enthusiasts will gather from as far afield as Japan, Australia and the US for the Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival from 2 to 5 June.
Six days later, the city's Zentralstadion will be the stage for the first World Cup game for Serbia and Montenegro and the Netherlands.
Sometimes you see elderly people talking to the Goths and asking them why they look like they do.
Festival spokesman Cornelius Brach said he was confident Leipzig's residents would have little trouble with the transition from Goth-magnet to a city bustling with soccer fans.
"The people have got used to the Gothic audience - they know they look a little bit strange but they aren't 'dangerous'," he said.
"[The townspeople] are very friendly and welcoming. Sometimes you see elderly people talking to the Goths and asking them why they look like this - and there's no problem."
Aside from the ubiquitous black, PVC and piercings, festival-goers will also be dressed in styles last seen in the Middle Ages.
The festival, now in its 15th year, prides itself on its diversity and has created a medieval village and pagan market to keep guests entertained.

Stupid & Cruel State Sponsored Gator Trappers-X Rated Blog
After reading an article by Thomas Lake of the St. Petersburg Times this past Monday May 29, 2006 entitled "A New Day, A New Gator", it made me realize just how much " I hate most f--king people"! And especially the jerkoffs that think they are some kind of macho assholes because they go around "and protect us from bad critters and such". Maybe they ought to have a season or, a number to call to remove "nuisance assholes" like you.
I understand that occasionally we have a situation where a problem with a critter exists and needs to be dealt with in an extreme manner. However, unless you are in a face to face life and death situation with one of these animals, there are "humane" ways to dispatch these creatures. Not the "gutless barbaric" way described in the article as follows.
A green black shape slides toward him through the rippling murk of a water hazard on this New Port Richey golf course, and Mickey Fagan casts a juicy beef lung into the water. It is a Trojan horse.
The flesh hides a barbed steel hook, and the alligator that swallows it has already lost. A line runs from the hook to a pole in Fagan's hands, and he can reel it in with relative ease. "IT IS HARD FOR AN ALLIGATOR TO FIGHT BACK WHEN STEEL SHREDS ITS INSIDES WITH EVERY MOVE IT MAKES".
When I read the above excerpt from this article, it made me want to freaking puke! You gutless stupid pieces of shit, that want to pass off as "human beings", should be "gutted" and dropped in the ocean a little of shore where YOU can ask for mercy from "jaws".
Alligators have a brain the size of a mans thumb. Man has a man's size brain. That, is the best you can come up with for getting rid of "nuisance gators"? The article mentions, "he embodies old Florida". Yeah, he does, "ignorant, back woods redneck dumbass"! Try mixing in a bang stick or maybe some humanity.
In closing, I do have a question of sorts. In our prisons, we have numerous murderers either serving jail sentences for their crimes or, some on death row for God knows how long. We also have "murderers" who have been released and turned back to society. My question is; "why aren't gators afforded the same oppurtunity"? Why are they just hunted down and destroyed? Hell, after all, a gator kills someone, more than likely it was for a logical natural reason. Food, defense or, protecting itself and/or family/species. And why, if some idiot calls and says "there is a gator looking at my dog, or, there is a gator sunning itself on the bank of a pond behind my property", are these gators classed "nuisance gators"? They then become fair game for the state's idiot agency and one of their 38 hired dirtbags to hunt down and kill if the gator is over 4 feet.
If you have a problem with what I posted here, and, don't have a problem with the state's position, YOU are an asshole "STUPID PEOPLE"!

Oprah Dissed By The Cube, MJ to Japan, Desmond Dekker Dead
Ice Cube Joins Voices Against Oprah
NEW YORK (AP) - Rappers Ludacris and 50 Cent have dissed Oprah Winfrey. Now, Ice Cube has a beef with the talk show queen.
"I've been involved in three projects pitched to her, but I've never been asked to participate," the rapper-actor tells FHM magazine in its July issue, on newsstands June 6.
"For 'Barbershop,' she had Cedric the Entertainer and Eve on, but I wasn't invited," says the 36-year-old rapper, referring to his 2002 movie. "Maybe she's got a problem with hip-hop."
Cube adds: "She's had damn rapists, child molesters and lying authors on her show. And if I'm not a rags-to-riches story for her, who is?"
A call by The Associated Press to Winfrey's spokeswoman at her production company, Harpo, was not immediately returned Friday.
Last month, 50 complained that Winfrey rarely invites rappers on her talk show: "I think she caters to older white women." Ludacris, whose real name is Chris Bridges, told GQ magazine that the media mogul was "unfair" to him during a show he appeared on last October with co-stars from best-picture Oscar winner "Crash."
Earlier this month, Winfrey defended herself in a surprise appearance on New York City-based radio station Power 105.1.
"I listen to some hip-hop," she told DJ Ed Lover. "You know, I've been accused of not liking hip-hop and that's just not true. I got a little 50 (Cent) on my iPod. I really do. Love 'In Da Club.' ... Love that, and you know, love Jay-Z, love Kanye (West), love Mary J. (Blige)."
Ice Cube, whose other films include "Friday" and "Three Kings," will release his latest album, "Laugh Now, Cry Later," on June 6.
Michael Jackson Kicking Off Asian Tour
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Michael Jackson plans to make his first public appearance since his trial acquittal last June at a ceremony in Tokyo to accept MTV Japan's "Legend Award," his spokesman said.
Jackson's participation in the award ceremony Saturday at Yoyugi Olympic Stadium will launch an Asian tour. Jackson also plans to visit Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong, spokeswoman Raymone K. Bain said in a telephone interview from her Washington, D.C., office Thursday.
Bain, who said she was en route to the airport to join Jackson in Tokyo, said the star plans to visit orphanages, tour the city of Tokyo and meet with members of the Asian business community during his trip.
Jackson has been living in Bahrain since his acquittal on child molestation charges in Santa Maria, Calif.
The Asian tour is being organized by Broderick D. Morris, chief executive of Positive Productions Yokohama, an entertainment promotions company, Bain said.
"Michael Jackson is a legend. ... He loves Japan and we love him," Morris said in a press release. "We look forward to welcoming him."
Jackson was quoted as saying, "I look forward to my visit to Japan because I have so many fond memories of my visits there. I thank MTV Japan for this honor and Mr. Morris for spearheading this visit.
"I look forward to seeing old friends and saying hello to my huge fan base in Japan who, like my other fans around the world, have for so many years consistently shown their love and support to me and my family."
Bain said that Jackson plans to return to recording and hopes to release a new album in 2007.
Jamaican Ska Great Desmond Dekker Dies
LONDON (AP) - Desmond Dekker, who brought the sound of Jamaican ska music to the world with songs such as "Israelites," has died, his manager said Friday. He was 64.
Dekker, who lived in England, collapsed from an apparent heart attack at his home on Thursday, manager Delroy Williams said.
"It is such a shock, I don't think I will ever get over this," Williams said.
Dekker's 1969 song "Israelites," a Top 10 single in both Britain and the United States, was the first international hit produced by Jamaica's vibrant music scene. With its haunting vocals and irresistible rhythm, it introduced the world to ska, a precursor to reggae.
"Desmond was the first legend, believe it or not," Williams said. "When he released 'Israelites' nobody had heard of Bob Marley - he paved the way for all of them."
Born Desmond Dacres in 1941, Dekker worked as a welder in Kingston before signing with Leslie Kong's Beverley's record label and releasing his first single, "Honor Your Father and Your Mother," in 1963. It was followed by Jamaican hits including "King of Ska."
Some of his most popular songs celebrated the culture of violent street toughs, or "rude boys" - "Rude Boy Train,""Rudie Got Soul" and "007 (Shanty Town)," which featured on the soundtrack of the seminal Jamaican film "The Harder They Come."
He also had a hit with "You Can Get It If You Really Want," written by his label-mate Jimmy Cliff.
The songs made Dekker a hero of British youth, and he moved to the country in the 1970s.
Dekker's career suffered after the 1971 death of his mentor Kong, and he was declared bankrupt in 1984. But he retained a strong British following until his death and performed regularly. Dekker had been due to play across Europe over the summer, including dates in Ireland, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
Dekker, who was divorced, is survived by a son and a daughter. Funeral details were not immediately available.

Props To Local Businesses Etc.
Every now and then, it is really nice to be able to give props where they are due. Especially to people you like and enjoy. This posting is dedicated to two businesses that are worthy of such praise. Now, you know me, I don't care whether I know you or not, if your business sucks, that is what I will say. However, if your business is GREAT, well, you get my praises bigtime!
BOWSER COLLEGE-
If you have one of those unruly, but cute, puppies that needs some training, then this is the place to go.Homethis is the website for Bowser College where you can get all the info you need on getting a handle on your dogs training. My good friend of 6 years, Susan Kendrick, is one of the best dog trainers and dog lovers around. She has all kinds of good stuff to help you out no matter the situation. It's all at the website. Check it out!
Chen's Bistro-
Being from the New York, New Jersey, Philly area of the USA, I have gotten totally spoiled with good ethnic food that Floridians just have not been able to master yet. Namely, Asian(Chinese) and Italian. Some folks, and folklore, blame it on the water difference. Which is easy to believe. Most restaurants and food preparers do not know how to work around that however. After trying God knows how many Chinese restaurants in the Orlando-Winter Park area, I have finally found a winner! Chen's Bistro in Winter Park gets it. They are the closest thing I have found to compare to northern Chinese reataurants. Their food is killer! Also, their people are great friendly business owners that make you want to keep coming back for more of their great food. They are located on Aloma Avenue in the Publix Shopping Center between Block Buster and Leslie's Pool Supply stores. This is between Lakemont Ave. and Semoran Blvd.(436). You have to check them out. You can eat in, but, excellent for take out!
Last but not least, don't forget to take our new POLLS that we are putting up. It's fun and only takes a minute or less. Also, feel free to click on some of the boxes located on the post. You might find something you need or like. Don't forget, your comments are always welcome and it is easy to post a comment.

Da Vinci Code Part Deux(2)
Audrey Tautou of "Da Vinci"
Well, just returned home from seeing the movie. Yeah, it messed up my head and heart. It was an emotional nuclear bomb. From the time the movie started, to the time it was over and folks were leaving the theatre, you could hear a pin drop. Nobody said a word! It affected everybody in some way shape or form.
Before we go any further, let me just say that the worthless pieces of crap that want to pass themselves off as "movie critics", including the "idiot" critic that writes for the Orlando Sentinel, need to just shut up and get a real job! These "full of themselves" assholes that want to come up with all their technical and loser mumbo jumbo, need to remove themselves from the planet so that some "worthy being" can have their air and space. The whole point of this movie is, "the story itself"! Not the acting, the scenery, the continuity, the script, the dialogue, the wardrobe or the makeup. The story, and the premise!
For me, the story of Jesus and Mary Magdalene being married and having kids is certainly believable. If it is true, I completely accept and praise it. I believe that women, if they are not, should be calling the shots anyway. Unfortunately, the Church can't get behind this, because, it would mean they have been lying to everyone for the last 2000 or so years. Which, would totally usurp their power and dominance. Not to mention, if that happened, it would totally erode the "good ole boys network", which just so happens to be "male", and supposedly, controls the power. Hey, change is good, and, could always be for the better!
In closing, as Tom Hanks said in an interview this week, "God took away our sins, not our brains". So, if you have a brain, go check out the movie. As I always say, "free your mind, and, you know the rest"!

This can be YOUR MINDS hang out
So, if you are NOT by any chance planning on going to see the "Da Vinci Code", but, need something to do this weekend. You might want to grab some "Enigma", "Massive Attack", "Bliss", "Sasha" or whatever. Some nice vegetation. A couple pitchers of some chilled "green or oolong" tea. That "special" someone. And then, as I say in my profile, "free your mind, and, your ass will follow" to wherever this picture wants to take you.
Have a nice trip! When you get back, check out the poll! Something NEW!

The "Da Vinci Code" Has Arrived
'Da Vinci' Opens Amid Hoopla and Rage
CANNES, France (AP) - The director huffed, offended believers protested and the critics carped as "The Da Vinci Code" premiered and started its march around the world Wednesday.
Ron Howard, who adapted Dan Brown's worldwide megaselling novel to the big screen, had a suggestion Wednesday for people riled by the way Christian history is depicted in the film: If you suspect the movie will upset you, don't go see it.
"Da Vinci" opened at the Cannes Film Festival Wednesday with a black-tie premiere that brought stars Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen and Paul Bettany onto Cannes' famous red carpet.
Beforehand, Howard answered questions about "Da Vinci" protests around the world - and also in Cannes, where a Roman Catholic nun wearing a brown habit kneeled and said a rosary at the foot of the red carpet, as well as in Paris, the setting of much of the book, where 200 Roman Catholics prayed and sang outside a theater showing the film.
"There's no question that the film is likely to be upsetting to some people," Howard told reporters. "My advice, since virtually no one has really seen the movie yet, is to not go see the movie if you think you're going to be upset. Wait. Talk to somebody who has seen it. Discuss it. And then arrive at an opinion about the movie itself."
"Again: This is supposed to be entertainment, it's not theology," he said.
The screen adaptation, like the novel, suggests that Jesus Christ was married to Mary Magdalene and fathered a child. One reporter asked the cast if they believed Christ was married.
Star Tom Hanks quipped, "Well, I wasn't around."
Hanks said he had not felt pressure from religious groups. He added that his religious heritage "communicates that our sins have been taken away, not our brains."
Christian groups from various countries, including South Korea, Thailand, India and France have protested the movie, planning boycotts, a hunger strike and attempts to block or shorten screenings.
In India, the government even delayed the premiere, putting it on a temporary hold while it weighs complaints by Catholic groups that want the film banned. A decision is not expected before Friday.
Lobbyists in Thailand persuaded local censors to cut the final 10 minutes out of the film, but the censors later reversed their position after Columbia Pictures appealed.
Australian Christians bought cinema advertisements challenging the movie's plot. Hong Kong's Catholic church has organized forums to "clarify the facts."
In Cannes, the British nun who took her protest to the red carpet, Sister Mary Michael, prayed before a wooden cross.
"I think this movie will confuse people," she explained. "The world is a mess, and Jesus has the answers."
In Paris, dozens of riot police forced the 200 protesters to move to the other side of the Boulevard Saint-Germain, a main Left Bank thoroughfare where the Odeon theater was showing "Da Vinci."
"We are, in fact, being attacked by a not-so-innocent fiction that will provide one more dreadful occasion to unleash hatred for Jesus Christ and his disciples," said the Rev. Xavier Beauvais of the St. Nicolas du Chardonnet church - known for its traditionalist reading of the scriptures.
Opus Dei, the conservative Catholic movement depicted as a murderous cult in "The Da Vinci Code," invited media to one of its vocational schools in a working-class section of Rome to show off its work training young people to be mechanics, electricians and chefs.
"Soon this regrettable but fleeting episode will be forgotten," said Opus Dei spokesman Manuel Sanchez Hurtado. "Let us hope that its lessons about mutual respect and understanding are not."
"The Da Vinci Code" was kept under wraps until the first press screenings here Tuesday, which brought a few whistles from critics and lukewarm reviews. Associated Press critic Christy Lemire found the movie "cursory and rushed."
A few hours before it premiered in Cannes, an audience in Beijing became the first public viewers of the film. China has seen little of the controversy that "The Da Vinci Code" has elicited elsewhere. Debates have been limited and Catholics are a small minority, though some are upset about the movie.
Well, there you have it from people who HAVE and HAVE NOT seen the movie. Yes, I will certainly be there Friday to check it out for myself and, to post a review for you folks of my thoughts and perceptions.
However, if this movie is getting your goat, wait until you read my book/story. If I can ever get around to finishing it. Although it is a fictional story that basically points out mans stupidity, I am sure it will immensely "piss off" a huge number of you.

Techie, Tacky, Trippy & what...
Sony to Unveil First Blu-Ray Laptop
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Sony Corp. (SNE) will release the first laptop capable of playing, editing and recording next-generation, high-definition videos in the Blu-ray dvd format
Sony, which led the development of the Blu-ray format, said Tuesday the new VAIO AR Premium model will be available this summer for $3,500. Besides the Blu-ray DVD drive, the entertainment-oriented notebook computer features a 17-inch display, an integrated TV tuner, and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT)'s Windows Media Center Edition operating system.
Blu-ray is one of two competing high-definition DVD formats that displays video in 1080p - the sharpest in high-definition quality.
The other next-generation format is HD DVD. Toshiba Corp., one of the HD DVD format's main developers, last week introduced the first laptop to play HD DVD discs. But unlike the Sony laptop, the $3,000 Toshiba laptop's HD DVD drive cannot record or edit in high-definition.
Sony's new laptop will be among a number of other Blu-ray compatible products Sony plans to begin selling later this year.
Adding to a growing crop of ultracompact notebooks in the computer industry, Sony also will introduce Tuesday a laptop that weighs 1.2 pounds and is roughly the size of a 4x6 photo print but is 1.5-inch thick.
The VAIO UX Micro PC features the Windows XP operating system, a 4.5-inch screen, a slide-out keyboard, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technologies, and built-in cameras. It will be available in July at $1,800, Sony said.
Hey, I'm in. Blu-ray hi def, 17" screen, recordable high def, tv tuner, yeah, I'm there! Soon as I hit the lottery that is. If you have the bucks, go for it.
Latest Spears Photos Spark Safety Debate
LOS ANGELES (AP) - It's not a role she auditioned for, but pop star Britney Spears has become a poster woman for child car-seat safety.
"In one regard, she's done more for child safety-seat awareness than anyone else in California," California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall said Tuesday. "The fact that she's a big star doesn't play into it for us."
Front-page photographs in Tuesday's New York Post and New York Daily News depict the 24-year-old pregnant pop star driving her convertible Mini Cooper with 8-month-old son Sean Preston in the back, sitting in a car seat facing forward.
The photos - in which Spears also sports hair curlers - have sparked debate over whether the singer violated the California vehicle code.
The code states that child safety-seats must be properly installed according to federal safety guidelines which recommend that babies up to a year old and up to 20 pounds ride in them in the back seat facing backward, Marshall said.
However, the singer's publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik said Spears was in "total compliance" with California state law.
She cited California Vehicle Code 27360, requiring that "all children under the age of 6 or weighing less than 60 pounds be in safety seats in the back seat of the car," Zelnik said in a statement Tuesday. "Having a child in the child safety-seat facing forward in the rear seat of the car is in compliance with California law."
But Marshall said the code contained "a bit of a gray area."
"The vehicle code doesn't say you have to have the baby seat in a rear-facing position," but does maintain following federal guidelines, he said. "The bottom line is that if an officer saw her, one officer could have said it was no problem, and another could have given her a citation."
In February, authorities visited Spears' home after photos showed her driving in a car with the baby on her lap, rather than in a safety seat as required by law. Spears later apologized, saying she held the boy because of an encounter with paparazzi.
Spokesman Mike Marando of the California Office of Traffic Safety said Spears, if anything, was "breaking the spirit of the intent of the law, which is keeping the child alive."
It's more dangerous in the case of a collision to seat infants facing forward in the rear of the vehicle, he said.
Other complications remain.
Car-seat manufacturers have varied instructions on the proper use and positioning of car seats, based on the weight of the child, said CHP spokeswoman Fran Clader.
Some recommend forward-facing seats, and some recommend rear-facing seats.
"I can safely say that 90 percent of folks are not using child car seats properly," she said. "If the public has any questions, they can make an appointment with a CHP office, including Britney Spears."
Okay, since I am not a member of CHPS, I have NO comment on the child seat debate. However, this story falls under the "tacky" heading because, "recent superstar, Ms Spears, personifies your typical "poor white trailer park trash" riding around in her convertible with curlers in her hair"! Did all that money and fame turn her into one of Bobby Sharpe's Stupid People, or, was she always like that? What a shame!
Meta What?
Alright, we did the recent 3 part series on soul mates, twin flames and spirits etc., so, I figured, "why not keep pushing"? The way I look at it, the more stuff I learn now, the better off I will be when I come back this way the next time. How do I know I'm coming back? Because I know I have been here before. So why would I NOT be here again? You got that? Anyway here is a starting point for you to continue your journey into "knowing".Infinite Being - Twelve Principles for the New Reality. We are talking "spiritual metaphysics" here. I know this is to deep for some of you. Don't give yourself a migraine if this sounds to cerebral. I cannot comment on this since I was just turned on to it by a couple of my knowledgeable clients. However, I will check it out. You should also. If it's not for you, that's okay, nothing lost. If it is for you, who knows where it will lead you? It's all good.
In closing, some of you that do not know my email address, you can get it by clicking on my profile. If that is to hard, this is it reggae8@aol.com. Enjoy. Also, feel free to post a COMMENT. It's not hard. lol

Mother's Day For All MOMS
As Mother's Day is upon us for 2006, I just had a couple of thoughts I wanted to pass on. This will be the first Mother's Day that I have not had my mother to share it with. My mother got off the bus last August 18th. However, I know she is in a better place. She had gotten to a point in this mortal life and time that just was not a good place for her soul/spirit. This frees her to move on and be with the ones she cares to be with that have gone on before her, or, if you so believe, it frees her soul/spirit to return to this mortal world in some form, to continue on with her never ending journey.
Either way, I am happy to have had the time I had with my Mother. Who knows, maybe we will share more time in a different place and time. Just remember, try to enjoy those moments together with the ones you love, because, those moments, as is, will not last for ever.
In closing, don't forget, EVERY LIVING THING has or had a mother. Respect that premise with all GOD'S creatures. Not just the human ones!
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms I know, and, to the ones I do not know!

Possible Remedy For High Gas? Maybe
Claire at OIA Orlando, FL
So, are high gasoline prices kicking your behind and screwing up your budget as they are doing mine? Well, maybe, there is a little help out there. I had a client the other day, Claire Comerford from Ireland, who sells and markets a product called MPG CAPS "Energy Fuel". It's a product of Fuel freedom InternationalFuel Freedom International. Claire was here in Florida for a couple weeks getting all the info on this product and checking it out. She swore to me that it works!
Anyway, as you can see, I put a link to their site on this post. Check it out and see what you think. You can also email Claire at Claire.Comerford@gmail.com.
I would also like to mention that Claire happens to be into the trance/progressive house club music scene in Europe. So, for those of you who could care less what you are paying for gas, but, are interested in the European music scene, you might want to send Claire an email and get up to speed on Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Chemical Bros. etc. Or, just make a friend in Ireland.

Reach Me By Email Cell Or Web/Blog
HOT TRACKS-
This is a new business card I designed for myself. Lot of folks were wanting cell number, web address and email address. So, I figured I would put them all in the same place.
Couple of "hot tunes" I am checking out these days. Massive Attack, "Live With Me" from the "Collected" cd. Junkie XL, "Today" fuzzy hair mix. DJ'S Are Alive, "Give Me Some Love". And the "HOTTIE" is, Yellow Blackbird, "Superfly" Andy Moor remix. All tracks, except "Live With Me", are trance or progressive house funk. Play some of this commercial terrestrial radio! NOT!
Oh, my bad. I forgot one of the hottest tracks out now, Paul Oakenfolds "Faster Kill Pussycat". CD due next month!
One last note. If you happen to be on the "OVER WEIGHT" side, and, need to lose some weight? You might want to check this out.The Official Home of Wu-Long: The World's Most Powerful Fat Burner. Accept No

Michael Jackson - Madonna - Fats Domino
Madonna is ready for the tour!
Michael Jackson-
Jackson Angry at GQ for Spoof Photos
NEW YORK (AP) - A recent GQ article spoofing Michael Jackson has the singer demanding the magazine apologize and pull the issue from circulation.
In a statement released Friday, Jackson's representative, Raymone K. Bain, said Jackson is "furious" about a series of photos featuring a Jackson impersonator in the magazine's May issue, now on newsstands.
The photos accompany an article called "Where's Michael?" which documents writer Devin Friedman's quest to find Jackson in Bahrain, the Middle Eastern country where he lives.
In one photo, a Jackson look-alike sits in a darkened movie theater amid a row of children.
Another photo shows him standing in the desert draped in a black cloak and headscarf, with his trademark glittery white glove.
The statement said: "Mr. Jackson is furious that his image has been used in such a misleading way, and is demanding an apology from the editors of GQ, and its publisher, Conde Nast. Mr. Jackson is also demanding that the magazines be pulled from newsstands."
Jim Nelson, GQ editor-in-chief, responded with a statement Friday: "It is very clear that the pictures in the story ... are satirical, whether it's a picture of a Michael Jackson imitator sitting in a Bahraini cinema or an image of The Gloved One standing flamboyantly in the desert.
"Mr. Jackson may feel that the person in the photographs is an 'impostor,' but he is merely an imitator," said Nelson.
Jackson, 47, moved to the Gulf state soon after being acquitted of child molestation charges in California last year.
Madonna-
Madonna Stars in 58-Page Photo Spread
NEW YORK (AP) - Madonna is back in the saddle again. The Material Girl/Mom, who broke nine bones in a horse riding accident last year, stars with six Andalusian stallions in a 58-page photo spread in W magazine's June issue, on newsstands May 19.
On the magazine's cover, she wears equestrian-inspired garb, complete with a riding crop and fishnet stockings.
Madonna, 47, suffered three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a broken hand after falling off a horse on Aug. 16.
Her "Confessions Tour" kicks off in Los Angeles on May 21. She will be supporting her 2005 album, "Confessions on a Dance Floor."Madonna
Fats Domino-
Fats Domino Back on Stage for Jazz Fest
HARVEY, La. (AP) - Sitting at a keyboard in the bedroom of his post-Katrina home in this New Orleans suburb, a smiling Fats Domino joked, laughed and tenderly sang to a handful of close friends.
"Never thought my heart could be so yearny ... Gotta take that sentimental journey, sentimental journey home," he sang Thursday afternoon, swaying gently as longtime friend Herbert Hardesty, who's shared the stage with Domino for 50-plus years, chimed in.
Though Hardesty has been playing his saxophone at gigs with other musicians since Hurricane Katrina, including New Orleans bluesman Dr. John, he couldn't wait to reunite with Domino for Sunday's closing of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
Domino, too, is excited - even nervous - about his first performance since Katrina struck last August.
"I'm ready," said the 78-year-old Hall of Fame performer, chuckling as he joked about the possibility of passing out on stage. "God gave me the gift ... Yeah, I'm ready to play."
In his spacious new home in a gated community, Domino seemed most comfortable in his bedroom. Though large with high ceilings and filled mostly with new furniture, the room had personal touches and a cozy feel. Friends plopped on his king-size, four-poster bed, the sheets and blankets unmade.
"Herb's making me a book," Domino said, noting that Hardesty has photos of Domino with Nat "King" Cole and other celebrities - treasures to a man who's experienced so much loss.
The Mississippi River now divides Domino's newfound home from the one he was forced to flee when Katrina flooded 80 percent of the city. He lived for a time in a New Orleans hotel. Harvey isn't home, Domino says, but "it's close enough."
As he chatted with friends - among them Hardesty, Hardesty's wife and daughter Adonica Domino, one of his eight children - Domino pointed out the few pieces of salvaged furniture among the new, including chairs that surrounded an upstairs bar in the Ninth Ward home he shared with his wife of almost 60 years, Rosemary. They'd lived in the house since 1960.
In one room sits a black baby grand donated by the Baldwin piano company. The walls are empty except for two framed gold records - one for "Rosemary," the other for "Blue Monday." The records were refurbished by the Louisiana State Museum. Another 23 gold records and eight platinum records are being reissued to replace the ones destroyed in the flood.
Domino's classic New Orleans R&B sound and relaxed piano style led him to sell more records than any other black musician of the 1950s. His long list of national hits, mostly spanning from the mid '50s to the early '60s, includes "Ain't That a Shame,""Blueberry Hill,""Whole Lotta Loving" and "Blue Monday."
Grounded in his hometown, hits like "Walking to New Orleans" and "Jambalaya" resonate with New Orleans natives. Jazz Fest producer Quint Davis has said he can't think of a better way to close this year's festival than with a performance by Fats.
Sitting at the new piano on a black leather bench, tapping the keys, Domino said it's good to have a piano in the house again. Since being evacuated, he'd been playing on a keyboard he bought while on hiatus in Texas.
The 81-year-old Hardesty, a New Orleans native, has been living in Las Vegas since his home flooded. He and Domino met as teenagers in the mid-1940s and together recorded a number of hits, including "Blue Monday,""I'm Walking,""Ain't That a Shame" and "Let the Four Winds Blow."
"Each song has a meaning, a memory," Hardesty said. "When we get on that stage, we're happy."
Sipping from a bottle of Heineken between songs, Domino lulled friends with emotional verses of "Valley of Tears": "I want you to take me where I belong, where hearts have been broken with a kiss and a song..."
Even as he rehearsed with Hardesty, Domino wouldn't give away Sunday's playlist.
"Whatever comes to me," he said, "that's what I'll play."New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

Music For Your Mind Body & Soul, Any Age
As I was out and about, going about my daily routine, I made a really neat discovery. About music & people. Monday night, May 1, 2006, I finished putting together a cd I had been working on for a few days. I wanted this to be a "mental, relaxing, thought provoking soul searching musical journey through your being. There is NO HIDDEN MESSAGE in this mix. It is just a bunch of tunes from 3 seperate cd's that I have gotten recently that just happened to go with and, blend with each other to try to create an "inner chill".
NO, I am not on "the bong" either. A year ago this month(May), I had "mind realignment". Basically, it was like God said, "let me slap this boy upside the head and wake him up to use the mind that I gave him". Listen, I will argue with anyone pretty much, however, when God speaks, I'm there, no questions asked.
Okay, back to the music. This is a track listing of the songs on the cd we are talking about:
1) I Love You, I'll Kill You-Enigma
2) Live With Me-Massive AttackMASSIVE ATTACK : COLLECTED
3) Smell Of Desire-Enigma
4) Zoo York-Paul Oakenfold
5)Turn Around-Enigma
6)Angel-Massive Attack
7)Teardrop-Massive Attack
8)Daylight Hours-Infusion
9)Beauty 2-Ladytron
10)Safe from Harm-Massive Attack(Paul Oakenfold mix)
11)When It's Cold-Moby
12)Karmacoma-Massive Attack
13)Shadows In Silence-Enigma
As I was going about things, I exposed a variety of people to music on this cd. From 18 to 91, White, Black, Hispanic and Asian, male and female. I said absolutely nothing about the music to any of the 9 people in this eclectic group. However, when it was time for us to part company, EVERYONE of these people had a positive comment about the music and wanted to know how they could get it. The 91 year old lady was "blown away" by Paul Oakenfolds "Zoo York". She also loved "I Love You, I'll Kill You by Enigma. A number of these people were "totally" knocked out by Massive Attack's "Live With Me".
The point I am trying to make here is, "give people a chance to see if they like something or not". Stop force feeding them that same old "corporate safe bullshit". Hey, your bottom line might like it!
All the music on my cd comes from 3 cd albums. Enigma's Greatest Hits, Massive Attack-Collected and, Paul Oakenfolds Perfecto Chills Vol.3. All can be found and purchased online.
In closing, once again, as my buddy George Clinton would say, "free your mind, and your ass will follow"!
