There you have the tracklist for "Sandra's" new cd "Reflections". As of this writing, my two favorite tracks are "Everlasting Love" & the redone gripping "Hiroshima".
I am such a Sandra fan, anything she sings, I will listen to. However, I must admit, there are "2" of Sandra. There is the "solo" Sandra, and, there is the Enigma Sandra. I personally, prefer the Enigma Sandra. It seems that the Enigma Sandra puts more of herself and her soul into the Enigma songs. Maybe because they are a little more intense and "heavier" than the solo stuff. That is probably why I prefer "Hiroshima". It is a weightier topic which she seems to get more into like most of her Enigma work. That is why I was hoping she would have had more of a prescence on the new Enigma cd. Hey Michael, what were you thinking? Anyway, Sandra has a "NEW" studio album to be released once "Reflections" runs it's course. We will see what that offers. As usual though, I will get it regardless.SANDRA this link is for those of you who cannot get enough Sandra.

The Internet & Your Space
MySpace could be worth $15 billion
MySpace, the social networking Web site, could be worth around $15 billion within three years, measured in terms of the value created for shareholders of parent company News Corp. (NWSa), a Wall Street media analyst forecast on Wednesday.
RBC Capital analyst Jordan Rohan said he had come away from a meeting with Fox Interactive, the managers of MySpace, believing that "media investors may not fully appreciate what has already been done with MySpace or what may lie ahead."
"$15 billion in a few years? It is possible," Rohan wrote in a research note to clients.
MySpace was acquired by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. for $580 million less than a year ago. It now boasts more than 90 million active users.
Rohan said MySpace could demonstrate a value of between $10 billion and $20 billion within a few years. Acknowledging he was making an "audacious claim" he justified the forecast on the basis of MySpace's "raw, unprecedented user/usage growth.
"He also said the site's "massive" international appeal, capacity to become "an intellectual property distribution powerhouse" and experienced management team lent credibility to his prediction.
Rohan based his view on an extrapolation of estimates for the value of Internet properties ranging from $1 billion for both MySpace rivals YouTube and Facebook to the market capitalization of $120 billion for Google Inc. (GOOG).
He said MySpace was currently sold out of space for video advertising. The CPM, or price per thousand ad views, on a premium show such as Fox's The Simpsons runs as high as $35-40 on MySpace, he said.MySpace management believes its video service ranks No. 3 among U.S. Web users behind Yahoo Inc. (YHOO) and YouTube, Rohan said following the Tuesday meeting with Fox officials.
Britain is adding 25,000 MySpace member profiles per day. Australia has 2 million unique users. MySpace France began public testing three weeks ago, he noted.
MySpace is internally developing a MySpace Web application to run on mobile phones that should be launched in three to four months with a major U.S. carrier, he said.
Forget all the "negative" press and media attention thrown on Myspace over the last couple of years. Myspace is the "hottest" thing going and is revolutionizing the world as we know it.
As I have said repeatedly, "free your mind, and, your ass and computer will follow"! It's 2006 going on 2007. It is time to get your "collective" heads out of the sand and join the "modern technological society". Don't get left out!

"NEW" Enigma disc: A Posteriori
Well people, by now, most of you know I LOVE Enigma. Today, I listened to the "new" Enigma disc "A Posteriori" all the way through about 8 times. Right now, track 7 "Message From IO" has captured my ears bigtime.
As an Enigma fan, I am thrilled to have a new album. I am also somewhat disappointed because of the lack of Sandra vocals. The disc is primarily instrumental. It is very soothing and ambient for the most part. However, I personally do not feel as though Michael Cretu has brought anything "new" to the table so to speak. The cd is nice, and, I do like it quite a bit. However, it is not great and not what I would expect a number of Enigma fans are expecting. Personally, I feel as though Enigmas best days are behind them. I also feel that an Enigma project without Sandra, is NOT Enigma! It is a Michael Cretu project.
Here is a really cool link that will let you preview the tracks on the cd.Enigma - A Posteriori . Please, email me and let me know your thoughts on this new Enigma disc. reggae8@aol.com

Nintendo Wii For Christmas
For those of you that would like to start gaming, but, are intimidated by Sony and X-Box, Nintendo has the system for you and your younger kids. This system, as you will see in the article, is also significantly less expensive than the other systems. Give it a read and see what you think.
Nintendo to Sell Wii Console in November
NEW YORK (AP) - Nintendo Co. announced Thursday that its Wii game console will go on sale in the U.S. on Nov. 19 for $250, hoping that like its plucky game character Mario, it will be able to take on the gorillas of the market: rival products from Sony and Microsoft.
The Wii, which is about the size of a large paperback book, is both cheaper and smaller than Sony Corp. (SNE)'s much-awaited PlayStation 3, which launches just two days earlier with $500 and $600 models.
The Wii (pronounced "wee") is the successor to Nintendo's GameCube, the third-best selling console of its generation after the PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT)'s Xbox. Nintendo's Game Boy and DS are dominant in the market for portable game machines, but the company hasn't been a market leader in consoles since the early 1990s.
The company had promised to launch the Wii sometime in the last quarter of this year. By bringing it out on time, it's avoiding Sony's embarrassing PlayStation 3 delays.
The Wii breaks the mold of console controllers: It's a slim wand that communicates the user's movements wirelessly to the main machine. Nintendo demonstrated a bowling game in which the player swings the wand like he's throwing a ball down the lane. The wand relies in part on a sensor bar that needs to be installed, with tape or other means, on the front of the TV set, adding somewhat to the complexity of the setup.
Nintendo hopes the innovative controller, small size, low price and popular game franchises like Mario Brothers and Zelda will recruit new players to console gaming.
"The next step in gaming is bringing gaming to the masses," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.
Nintendo plans to ship 4 million Wii units this year, with the largest share going to the Americas.
By comparison, Sony expects to ship only 2 million PlayStation 3 units this year.
In a somewhat unusual move for the launch of a Japanese product, the Wii will go on sale in Japan two weeks after the U.S. launch.
"The release date is clearly a stab at Sony," said Ricardo Torres, editor at GameSpot.com. He believes Nintendo feels it can count on a positive reception in Japan, where its portable game players far outsell Sony's rival PSP.
Fils-Aime dismissed the notion that the release date had anything to do with Sony, saying the reason for the earlier launch is that the U.S. holiday shopping season starts before Japan's.
Nintendo is taking a gamble by putting out a console less powerful than the Xbox 360, which has been on the market since last year. The PlayStation 3 also will far surpass the Wii in rendering games in high-resolution, realistic graphics.
"We have a different paradigm for what turns on the consumer," Fils-Aime said. "If you want power, frankly, you're going to go somewhere else."
In particular, the Wii won't render high-definition video output. It's limited to a resolution slightly higher than that of standard TV. Nintendo is betting that HDTVs are still not common enough to be a major factor for people buying a game console.
However, some other features of the Wii will match the "big" consoles. It will be able to access the Internet if the user has a wireless network in the home, or buys an optional wired adapter. Through the connection, the user can retrieve weather and news reports, and download earlier games for earlier Nintendo consoles like "Donkey Kong." Those games will cost between $5 and $10.
Nintendo plans to provide games that let players connect to other players online, but none of the approximately 30 titles that will launch this year will have online play.

NY 9-11-01, Nagasaki, Japan 1945, Beirut 2006
You know, being a native New Yorker, and, an American, September 11, 2001 really ticked me off. I can remember that day like it was right now. I wanted to volunteer for the military so I could go and hunt down the dirtbags that made this happen. I wanted to know why the US was not obliterating somebody or something in retaliation. But with all the rage and hatred I had that day, I am equally "ticked off" on this 5th anniversary of that day. However, my focus has shifted somewhat to the homeland and all of it's "STUPID PEOPLE".
Yeah, 911 was a sad day in American and world history. An enormous number of lives were cut short, completely rearranged, and destroyed for generations. However, the same can be said for the people of Nagasaki, Japan in 1945. You think the 9-11 attacks were bad, imagine, if you can, being nuked! The same can also be said for the innocent people of Beirut Lebanon in 2006. Why do we have to keep throwing this in everybody's face every September 11th? Is our loss and tragedy something more special than others? I, personally, DO NOT need this whole "sympathy trip and remembrance play" every 9-11. Come on, 4 hours to read all the names of those who perished? What good does that do? Does it bring them back? NO. Their families and friends know their names and, they will not forget.
As for the "stupid people". The "stupid people" I am talking about here, are, basically all of your "diarreah mouth" right wing and left wing talk show host on radio and television that need to get a life and get over themselves. They are all a bunch of "pompous assholes" that think they know everything. Like they matter. Instead of trying to have a show based on what we can do to over come these setbacks and move on to "NEXT", these idiots are sitting around trying to figure out whose fault it is that we got caught with our "security pants" down. Please?! Laying blame is not bringing the dead back or reconstructing the twin towers. Do the world a favor and get "idiots" like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hanity, and Neal Bortz among others, off the airwaves. It is time to move forward people. Stop sitting around languishing in your own sorrow and self pity and start using what GOD gave you, "a brain"!
So, am I having a bad day? No, not really. However, everyday is a bad day for the "stupid people". Especially the ones working in fast food places that can't even get a $2 order straight. Thanx to our wonderful "public school system". Hey, remember that song by War, "The World Is A Ghetto", how about we change the title and call it "America Is Becoming A Ghetto"?
As usual, for some fun and good music, check outwww.myspace.com/akuasharpe. Got something to say, email me at reggae8@aol.com .

Bobby's NFL Picks, Sony Playstation 3 etc.
Guess what gang, it is finally time for the NFL season to get under way. It is also time to switch "Bobby's NFL Picks" from radio to my blogsite. I started doing this about 6 years ago on the radio and stations website. Needless, to say, as with everything else I do, "the picks were very successful". Over the course of a season, I have NEVER had a losing season. Sooooooo, do what you need to do. have some fun and see how you fair against me.
There is only one game until Sunday. That is the Steelers vs Dolphins Thursday night. I hate this game because, I like both teams. This is also a tough call because of the quarter back situation on both teams. We know that "Big Ben" for the Steelers will miss the game because of just having his appendicts removed. How will Dante Culpepper hold up for the Dolphins? And how long?
Well, Pittsburgh is at home. They are the Super Bowl Champs. So!
Steelers 1, or even, Dolphins It's a toss up, but, I like the STEELERS!
Sony Playstation 3
TOKYO (AP) - The release of Sony's PlayStation 3 will be delayed in Europe until March because of problems with producing a key component, the executive in charge of the project said Wednesday.
The much-awaited update to the popular game console will go on sale in November in the United States and Japan as planned, but fewer units will be available for the launch dates.
The company is still sticking to its initial global target of shipping 6 million PlayStation 3 machines by March 2007.
The sales delay is caused by a problem in mass producing a key component in the Blu-ray disc laser part of the machine, the next-generation successor to Sony Corp. (SNE)'s hit PlayStation 2, Sony Computer Entertainment Chief Ken Kutaragi told reporters.
"We decided to focus on the Japanese and U.S. markets," he said at the gaming unit's Tokyo headquarters. "I am so sorry not to be able to answer to all the expectations."
In the U.S., about 400,000 PlayStation 3 machines will be available when they go on sale Nov. 17. About 100,000 will be available on the Nov. 11 Japan launch date.
The production problem is causing about a one-month delay that will reduce the company's supply capacity by about a million machines from the original plan, he said.
"We've been working hard to try to tackle the problem, but we see the delay is inevitable," he said.
James Hong, Head of Equity Derivatives Trading at Dresdner Kleinwort in Tokyo, said the news may put another dent in Sony's stock. The company's U.S.-shares fell $1.03 or 2.4 percent to $42.84 on the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday.
"This seems to be the continuation of a series of bad news. People were prepared to wait for the PS3, but delaying its European launch so they miss the Christmas season is just so not good," Hong said. "This is a crucial product given its Blu-ray features, and they need to get it out fast."
The setback is the latest to hit Sony, which is has been overhauling its electronics operations to catch up in key electronics products such as MP3 digital music players. Last month, its shares tumbled after Dell Inc. (DELL) and Apple Computer Inc. (AAPL) issued huge recalls of defective laptop batteries made by one of Sony's subsidiaries, Sony Energy Devices Corp.
Kutaragi said other preparation work on the machine was going smoothly, including the "cell" next-generation computer chip. Mass production is set to start end of September, he said.
Although Sony had initially counted on shipping 4 million PlayStation 3 machines worldwide by the end of the year, that will likely fall to 2 million, he said.
The exact European sales date will be announced later, but it will likely be in the early part of March, he said.
Blu-ray disc is the next-generation video format for the latest DVD recorders and players, but also an essential part of the PlayStation 3.
As usual, you can also catch up with me at www.myspace.com/akuasharpe for some music etc. Also, Sundays NFL game picks will be up by Saturday night! Any questions, email reggae8@aol.com .

New Music U May Never Hear..Unless?
If you are as sick as I am of the "garbage" that passes as music on "corporate USA commercial radio", then you seriously need to open a "myspace" account and see what all you are missing.
Some of you might have heard that myspace has a deal in place where independent musicians, groups, bands etc. will be able to "sell" their music on myspace. This is awesome news for some of the millions of unsigned artist in the world. Myspace suggests that there are 3 million plus "unsigned" artists with accounts on myspace.
I have an account at myspace and have found some of the "best" music around today! Below are some links to some folks myspace profile pages where you can check out info and new music from these artist.
The above picture is of "Skye", former vocalist with Morcheeba. Now has solo cd.

As usual, you can check out www.myspace.com/akuasharpe for my profile. And yes, I am working on some tracks now. Hopefully, in the not to distant future, I will have some stuff up on my profile. For those of you that find this somewhere else and would like to check out the rest of my blog,Bobby Sharpe's Blogspot will do it.
