This is just a little fyi that may just save your life! Two weeks ago, I had triple bypass heart surgery out of nowhere! How did this happen?
Three months ago, while leaving a store, my heart started racing and I got a little light headed momentarily. After a few minutes, the episode passed and I was back to normal. Thought it was kind of strange, but, did not pay a bunch of attention to it.
On October 16th, while sitting at my computer, the same thing happened. I took a couple Bayer aspirin and some antacid and went to bed. I woke up in the morning and felt fine. While taking one of my clients, who is a doctor, to work, I told her what happened. She suggested that I get a ekg to be sure of what was going on. The ekg showed some abnormalities. The clinic referred me to the hospital er. I went there the next morning and had another ekg which showed the same things. They recommended strongly that I have a heart catherization. After having that the next morning, they discovered that I had three blocked arteries in the heart and was sitting on possibly the "big one"! They recommended triple bypass surgery immediately. I wouldn't agree until I explored all options. Actually, there were none! So, I had the procedure done, which, is "major surgery"! As of this writing, I am two weeks/two days removed from surgery. My doctors tell me I now have the heart of a teenager.
The point I am trying to get across is this, "if anything out of the ordinary is going on with you and your heart/breathing etc, get an ekg done"!! It is not that expensive and may be the only way to find out if you have serious problems. If it weren't for the ekg, I would have never known until possibly the "big one/last one"!
