Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Super Bowl Champs! Bowl winners 21-10 over the Seahawks. Also, congrats to the Rolling Stones who showed they can still kick some rock n' roll ass at 60 plus. Even though their show was less than super, it still rocked! Speaking of the musical part of the Super Bowl, who the hell was running the sound and mixing board? The vocal mics were not mixed worth a damn for the Stones, Aretha or, Stevie Wonders set. Piss poor job on the vocal audio mixing.
As for the Super Bowl ads. I loved the Fedex ad with the t-Rex and the cavemen. That was great! Also, the Full Throttle energy drink ads were cool. Right now, I am ready to buy a new Escalade based on their adds. And of course, all the Budweiser ads rocked. The ad with the baby Clydesdale was really good also. Block Buster could have saved some money by NOT running their ad for movies delivered to your door. It will take 27000 years to recoup your money based on this new service you are adding.
Super Bowl food this go around consisted of Bubaloos Bodacious BBQ and all the fixings. Plus, tried something new. The wings from Pizza Huts new Wingstreet. Did the honey bbq and the teriyaki wings. Not bad! Weren't the best I have had, but, will do again. Also had an assorted cheese cake platter from Publix. Killer cheese cake!
I also had the privilege of watching the game on HDTV. What a difference. It is ironic that after the game, I got on line and ran up on a story about how uninformed the general public is about high def digital tv. So, I am including a couple of web sites you can go to that will tell you everything you could possibly want to know about high def wide screen digital tv. If your going to buy one, you need to know this stuff!Ultimate TV buying guide - HDTV World - CNET.com HDTV Magazine - Your Guide to High Definition Television These 2 sites will tell you everything you need to be aware of.
